The Pulitzer Prize-winning author Junot Diaz is best known for The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. On this episode of Alt.Latino, he talks about why so many men relate to the title character, Dominican food, Afro-Caribbean diaspora, plus he spins some bachata and urban merengue.

Yeaaaaah! This guy. This author is so great. The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao was so arresting. Normally I put a book down after finishing it and pick the next one right up - marathon reading - but I had to take the whole evening to deal with the book after I finished it.
Click through for the article, and definitely give it a listen. The music on the recorded show is great.  Zoom

I'd rather be somewhere else. Intermittent glimpses into my mind, as well as my wanderings and adventures.
